12-20-05: Important notice for alcohol licensed establishments and public assembly occupancies:

Certificate of Inspection
In accordance with Chapter 304 of the Acts of 2004 (Fire Safety Act), every alcohol licensed establishment is required to post a Certificate of Inspection signed by the building official and the fire official. This Certificate is required by the Department of Public Safety to ensure that all establishments have been inspected for general fire and life safety features. Beginning this year, inspections will be made by Fire Department and Inspectional Services inspectors. Upon satisfactory inspection, the Certificate will be issued. The Certificate of Inspection must be framed behind clear glass and/or laminated and posted near the main entrance to your establishment.

Temporary Certificate of Inspection
If building or fire code violations are discovered during the inspection, a Temporary Certificate of Inspection may be issued by the inspector, depending upon the nature of the violation. This Temporary Certificate will be issued under the terms and conditions as indicated on the Certificate. Any violations noted must be corrected immediately. A permanent Certificate will be issued upon satisfactory re-inspection of the establishment.
