The "High Read" Notification Program
The Cambridge Water Department 's "High Read" notification program allows the Water Department to contact property owners soon after an incident of high usage is detected. Speedy notification will allow property owners to repair any leaks that may be causing the high read thus minimizing the impact on the Water and Sewer Bill. The program will need customers to update contact information so the Water Department is able to contact property owners as soon as a "high read" is detected. Please call Brian McCoy at 617 349-4737 or email Brian at: HighReads@cambridgema.gov with contact person ,account number, phone number, mailing address and email address.
The Cambridge Water Department's Meter Replacement Program
The Automated Meter Reading (AMR) has been a tremendous success over the past 4 years. The real time readings 4 times a day of our customers meters have lead to more accurate billing and an early notification of potential leaks. There is a third component to a successfull AMR program that is a Meter Replacement Program.
The Cambridge Water Department is committed to replacing old meters. Replacing old meters with new meters, increases the accuracy of readings and further ensures the citizens of Cambridge a accurate and fair Water and Sewer Bill.
Appointments for a new meter will be made at the customers conveinence, by calling Brian McCoy at 617 349-4737 or by emailing him at mailto:bmccoy@cambridgema.gov
