The Area IV Youth Center has long been a crucial part of the Area IV neighborhood. With such deep roots in the community, our intent is not only to work with the children we serve, but also to work with them in a context that will help improve the entire Area IV neighborhood and bring the community together.

The Area IV Youth Center is located at 243 Harvard Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Pre-Teen Leadership program is for ages 9- 13 and is held from Monday through Friday, from 2:00 to 6pm. The evening Teen Program is for ages 14-18 and is held from Monday through Friday from 6:30 - 9:30 pm.

During the Teen Program, there are different workshops that teens participate in, such as resume writing, music and media messaging, and Terrascope Radio. The teens are also provided with homework assistance and free time to play basketball or take part in a recreational activity. The purpose of the Teen Program is to provide a place where teens can have fun while being empowered to reach their full potential in a safe and structured environment. We are also located near Prospect Hill Academy and have a pre-teen program where we offer a number of assistance and classes to keep our children satisfied.
