Commercial loading and unloading zones on public streets are usually installed in front of commercial or educational zoned establishments for the sole purpose of loading and unloading of materials and passengers.

A vehicle, which has a commercial license plate, can park while loading and unloading for no longer than 30 minutes, while a vehicle with a passenger license plate can park no longer than 15 minutes. Vehicles, which exceed these time limits, are subject to fine and possible tow.

Applicants applying for a commercial loading and unloading zone must understand that this restriction on parking does not reserve a parking space for your own commercially licensed vehicle for all day use, but must adhere to the time limits listed above.
