About the Healthy Parks and Playgrounds Initiative
The long-range goal of the Cambridge Healthy Parks and Playgrounds initiative is to provide a diverse range of play opportunities throughout the city that are fun, physically challenging, creatively stimulating and socially engaging, and that serve children and adults of all different age groups, ability levels and interests.
Advisory Committee
The Healthy Parks and Playgrounds Advisory Committee, which includes Cambridge residents, City staff and others, meets to discuss ideas for implementing the short-range recommendations of the Healthy Parks and Playgrounds Task Force, with a particular focus on public outreach and education on the benefits of unstructured outdoor play.
The Advisory Committee will meet from 6:30 to 8:00 P. M. at the Community development Department offices on the 4th floor at 344 Broadway on the following Wednesdays during 2012:
- January 18
- February 15
- March 21
- April 18
- May 16
- June 20
- July 18
- August 15
- September 19
- October 17
- November 28
