Doing Business with the City of Cambridge
City Purchasing Department
Any small or large business interested in doing business with the City of Cambridge should contact the City's Purchasing Department. The Purchasing Department implements and administers the purchasing policies and practices of the City. The Department also ensures that all purchases of goods and services are made in accordance with state law and city ordinance, are open, fair, and competitive, and are obtained at the lowest possible cost.

Business Links
On March 31 and April 22, 2009, the City of Cambridge in partnership with the US Postal Service, hosted two events called “Business Links.” These events connected small and large businesses so that small businesses can learn how to contract with larger companies.
As an ongoing resource, the Economic Development Division is developing a Directory of Cambridge Small Businesses and the commodities they supply. Large companies may use this as a resource when they are looking for purchase services and goods.
