Financial Literacy Workshops

The Economic Development Division partners with the Center for Women & Enterprise, Commonwealth of Massachusetts and other local organizations to provide financial literacy programs to Cambridge residents.

Cost and Registration

All workshops are free for eligible Cambridge participants unless otherwise noted. Other participants must pay a small fee per workshop upon attendance.

Pre-registration is required for all workshops. Unless otherwise noted under the workshop description, to pre-register and to determine your eligibility status, please call Rona Holmes at 617/349-4637 or by email at rholmes@cambridgema.gov or Pardis Saffari at 617/349-4654 or psaffari@cambridgema.gov.

Workshops will be held at the 2nd floor Community Room at Cambridge City Hall Annex, 344 Broadway, Cambridge unless otherwise noted.

Personal Budget Management Workshop

Attend this workshop to learn how to take control of your finances through the development of a personal budget! This workshop will cover strategies for money saving and debt reduction and offer advice on how to realize your financial goals.

  • Session 1 : Tuesday, April 10 and Thursday, April 12, 2012
  • Session 2: Tuesday, May 8 and Wednesday, May 9, 2012
  • Time: 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M.
  • Cost: Free to income eligible residents. $5 fee for others.
  • Location: Cambridge City Hall Annex, 344 Broadway, 4th floor Conference Room.

Credit Management 101 Workshop

Attend this workshop to learn how to take control of your finances through understanding your credit! This workshop will cover understanding how your credit score is calculates, maximizing your credit score and how to improve your credit.

  • Time: 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M.
  • Cost: Free to income eligible residents. $5 fee for others.
