COUNCILLOR DAVIS

ORDERED:
That the City Manager be and hereby is requested to instruct the City Solicitor to prepare draft text of a proposed substitute for the Leaf Blower Ordinance that incorporates the amendments voted by the City Council on November 19, 2007; and be it further

ORDERED:
That the City Solicitor also provide language for said proposed substitute on the following items that were discussed but not acted upon:

*Specifying distance at which decibels are measured (50 feet)

*Incorporation of the education and certification program contained in the proposed ordinance originally submitted by the City Manager on behalf of the Leaf Blower Task Force

*Incorporation of limitation of leaf blowers to one per 10,000 feet as contained in the proposed ordinance originally submitted by the City Manager on behalf of the Leaf Blower Task Force

*Development and incorporation of language prohibiting contractors from inappropriate uses related to construction
