RULES FOR USE OF BARBECUE AREA
Welcome to the Mayor Thomas W. Danehy Barbecue and Picnic area, which is open to Cambridge Residents from May 1st - November 1st.
The barbecue and picnic area consist of two handicapped accessible charcoal grilles and seven picnic tables.
THE FOLLOWING RULES ARE IN EFFECT FOR USE OF THE BARBECUE GRILLS:
1. Permits are required for use of the Barbecue Grills. The Permit Fee is $10.00 for groups of ten or fewer and $25.OO for groups of eleven or more. Permits will be granted for the following four-hour time slots: 8:00 AM - Noon; Noon - 4:00 PM AND 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Proof of Cambridge residence will be requited from the person seeking the permit. Please contact the Recreation Division at 617-349-6238 for a Permit during the week. On weekends, please contact the Danehy Park Staff at either the main Park Office or at 617-349-4895 to check availability and secure a Permit.
2. Please use the only match-lightable coals. Use of lighter fluid is not allowed.
3. Danehy Park Staff will dispose of coals after permited use.
