LUKE

LUKE multi-space pay stations have been installed in most City of Cambridge parking lots. The pay stations in each lot work in one of two modes: "Pay & Display" or "Pay by Space".

In Pay & Display lots customers park their vehicles and proceed to the pay station to pay for parking.   Customers then return to their cars and place the receipt from the pay station face-up on the dashboard of their vehicles.  These receipts indicate the start and end of the time purchased. Parking Control Officers enforce time limits by checking the receipts on the vehicle dashboards.

In Pay by Space lots, the spaces are numbered.  After customers park their vehicles they should note their space number and proceed to the pay station.  At the pay station customers enter the space number and pay for the amount of time they wish to park. There is no need to return to the vehicle with the receipt as time limits are enforced by Parking Control Officers with reports issued at the pay station, rather than the receipts on the vehicle dashboards.

Customers can pay for parking at Luke pay stations with credit or debit cards (Visa/ MasterCard) or U.S. Quarters. There is no transaction fee charged to customers when using credit cards.
The instructions for how to pay for parking are displayed on the Luke pay stations.
