Effective May 20, 2014, a new parking violation, “Bicycle Lane”, with a fine of $35 goes into effect. Vehicles obstructing a bicycle lane have been ticketed for double parking, no stopping, or being parked more than 1’ from the curb.  The new violation calls attention to the importance of keeping the bike lanes open. We hope this makes it easier for staff to enforce and adjudicate tickets. It should bring increased attention to the importance of keeping bike lanes open.
