Dive into the CAC Gallery, and see a work of art evolve before your eyes. From February 25th 2008 through January 5, 2009, the exhibition Anxiety of Beauty – Revisiting the Fountain of Youth transforms the CAC Gallery into the painting studio of artist Mela Lyman. Throughout this exhibition, visitors will have the unique opportunity to witness the development of this large-scale mural that the artist will be re-creating for Paine Park (St. Mary Road, a few blocks from the Gallery).

Artist Reception, Monday, January 5, 2009, 6-8pm
The exhibition concludes with an artist reception which launches CAC’s new series, First Mondays @ CAC Gallery, a monthly, multisensory event featuring visual arts, live performance and a food tasting by a local purveyor. For more information, please contact Jeremy Gaucher, Public Art Administrator, at jgaucher@cambridgema.gov or 617-349-4388
