WHEREAS:	Recent water main breaks have raised awareness about the age of some water main infrastructure; and
WHEREAS:	Water Main breaks are disruptive and predicting them may or may not be possible; now therefore be it
ORDERED:	That the City Manager be and hereby is requested to confer with the Managing Director of Water Department and report back to the City Council on whether the department is monitoring aged pipelines to prevent unexpected breaks and if information on the age of pipes is readily available.
